What does the driver need to bring?
- Driver's Licence
- Picture identification - (e.g Driver's Licence picture card or
- Proof of address - a utility bill that is LESS than 8 weeks
old showing your name and address (we are unable to
accept mobile phone bills
Without these we will be unable to release a vehicle for
hire

If you have a photo licence does it need renewing?
Without a valid licence we are unable to release a vehicle and
your deposit will not be refunded

Why do I have to pay a Security Deposit?
- This is a fully refundable deposit used where damage is
caused to the vehicle during the hire period, including
interior fixtures and fittings, glass windows, tryes, wheel
nuts and wheel trims.
Are my personal belongings covered in the Cross
Country vehicle hire?
- NO. We strongly recommend that you take out your own
Can I view your vehicles?
- Yes. Please telephone Graham or Caroline on
to prearrange a mutually convenient day and time for your

Are seatbelts fitted?
- Yes. Our vehicles are fitted with seatbelts - please check
each vehicle for the type and number of seat belts to see if
they suit your requirements
What are our hours?
- 7 days a week 9am to 17:30
- alternatively leave a message on our answerphone and we
will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible
Will I receive instructions for using my vehicle?
- we will run through the available facilities and operating
- instruction / safety manuals will be in your vehicle for you to
How long will it take to check in?
- it will take between 30 minutes and 50 minutes to check in
- we are happy to offer a test drive prior to departure if you wish
What is the booking process?
- please check availability
- we will confirm your provisional booking via e-mail,
phone or letter and request a non refundable Booking
Deposit of £100 to secure the booking

- once the booking deposit is paid we will allocate a

What are Cross Country VW Campervans like to drive?
This is a lifestyle change for the period of hire, slow down, relax
and take it easy... our 1960's and 1970's vehicles....

- no automatic gearbox
- no air conditioning
- no servo assisted brakes
Our VW Campervans are historic vehicles..... a totally different
driving experience!
Collection
- please collect your VW Camper Van from us
- you can garage your own vehicle in our unit during your
hire, if so please let us know when you make your booking -
there is no charge for this service but your own vehicle is
left entirely at your own risk
- if requested we can collect you from Gobowen, Wem or
- collection can be made from local airports for an additional
